Do LED’s require higher room temperatures?

December 12, 2016

LEDs produce virtually no heat, whereas HPS generate exorbitant heat levels. If you are used to using HPS lights, the heat generated from that source is also heating the room a great deal (often times too much, damaging the plants and requiring cooling units to help lower temperatures). With virtually no heat generated from LEDs, you can just set the room to the desired temperature (70-85 degrees) and leave it without the need for constant readjustments.
