How close should my light be to the top of my plant canopy?

December 04, 2016

Cultivate Tech fixtures emit massive amounts of light, but virtually no heat. Because of this the lighting fixtures can be hung very close to your plants. We recommended the hanging height above your plant canopy to be anywhere between 12-36”. Keep in mind, the higher a fixture is hung the greater the footprint but lesser the intensity so it is best to find the right hanging height that suits both the lighting needs of your plants and also the footprint you are looking to cover.

The Cultivate Tech Bluetooth App can be used to dim the entire fixture lowering the light output, letting you get mere inches away from the plant canopy. This is especially useful in vertical farming applications.
